Hopefully everyone is settled in somewhere safe until Hurricane Irma departs our area. But there’s good news to think about—the first chapter general meeting of the fall season is coming up soon. So put this on your calendar. It’s going to be a fun one.
Date: Monday, September 18th, 2017
Time: 6:30 pm
Location: La Chiquita Tortilla Plant
Address: 6918 Presidents Drive, Orlando FL 32809
“At La Chiquita we strive to provide exceptional service. We are a family owned and operated business that has been serving our community for over 30 years. La Chiquita manufactures the best flour tortilla on the market. Our hot pressed flour tortillas are soft as pillows yet thick and pliable, limiting breakage and tearing, therefore, increasing yields of tortillas in your kitchen.”
You’ll get to sample plenty, and tour their production facility. The educational nature of this meeting will earn you 1 CEH.
This general meeting will also feature news about the rescheduled Culinary Arts Competition and other upcoming chapter events. 2017 is a chapter board election year. The floor will be open for nominations for these board member positions: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Sergeant-at-Arms. As always, our chapter meetings include announcements, raffles, and time to network. Guests are welcome.
Please join us in congratulating our chapter President Roger Newell who was recently voted the Ethics Committee Southeast Region Representative. He will serve the remainder of the current term through 2018.
Again, stay safe during the storm. We want to see EVERYONE come out to the September General Meeting!
