Hello Chefs!

I sincerely hope you and your families are enjoying the holiday season. I have a few things to share with you as we come to the end of another great year for our chapter.

The elections are complete and we are ready to announce the ACF Central Florida Chapter’s new Board of Directors for the 2016-17 term. Please help me congratulate them:

  • President, Roger Newell, CEC, CCE, CCA, AAC
  • Vice President, Peter Vossenberg, CEC, CCE
  • Treasurer, Joe Hardiman, HAAC
  • Secretary, Lauren Cooke, CEPC, CEC
  • Sergeant at Arms, Luis Reyes
  • Chairman of the Board, Joe Alfano, CEC, AAC

Tickets will soon be on sale for our upcoming President’s Awards Gala Dinner, which will be held at The Ritz Carlton, Grande Lakes on Sunday, January 24th. The invitation email will be sent to you this week with full details on the event and ticket purchase instructions. Please buy early – gala tickets sold out last year.

Great news! Our chapter will receive a 2016 Southeast Chapter Achievement Award. This means that at the Regional Convention we will be in the running for the SE Region Chapter of the Year…and then on to the National Chapter of the Year! (A special thanks to all of you who contributed to our chapter’s achievements and to Lynda for preparing the Chapter Achievement Submission Package.)

Congratulations again to the new 2016-17 Board of Directors, who will be sworn into office during the President’s Awards Gala. Our chapter is in excellent hands with Roger Newell as President. He has long been my first phone call when needing chapter advice or direction. Roger is a strong leader with a real passion for the ACF and the ACF Central Florida Chapter.

Thank you all for your support during my term as President. It was truly my honor serving you and I will stay involved in my new position as Chairman of the Board. A special thanks to two of our out-going board members who have served our chapter proudly for multiple terms and capacities: Nora Galdiano, CEC, AAC and Richard Cote, CEC.

But I have one final request before my term comes to an end…

This is your chapter, please stay involved!

Enjoy your holiday season and have a successful new year,

Joe Alfano, CEC, AAC
President
ACF Central Florida Chapter
