December President’s Message

Hello Chefs!

As 2014 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and thank you all for attending our Christmas Party at CityWalk’s Pat O’Briens. We sincerely hope you had a blast! Thanks to Chef Steve Jayson and the Universal culinary team. I also have to give a shout-out to Phil and the Catering Team for a great job.

The toy drive was a huge success. You all brought in so many toys that we are going to make a lot of kids very happy this year.  We also hope that you enjoyed your Christmas gift and watched the 2014 recap videos on the thumb drive. It was an amazing year and we look forward to 2015.

Here’s a few things to put on your calendar:

We have two fantastic candidates for the 2014 Chef of the Year Award: Luis Reyes, CEC and Marcus Herrington, CEC. Please look for a ballot to arrive in your email inbox (or spam folder) within the next day or so. Voting ends on Wednesday, December 24th.

Give Kids The World Annual Holiday Dinner:

The ACF Central Florida Chapter will once again provide a grand Holiday party for the children and families at Give Kids The World. Our event is scheduled for this Thursday, December 11th, 2014. Please volunteer your time by contacting event chair Chef Bryan Frick C.E.C., A.A.C. at

Annual President’s Awards Gala:

Look for your invitation to the Annual President’s Awards Gala in your email inbox coming soon with all of the details. The Board of Directors have worked hard this year to reduce the prices of attending the Gala — and to add something new. This is THE chapter event of the year. Don’t miss it. Please RSVP promptly.
