The ACF Central Florida Chapter had a fantastic meeting earlier this week with record-breaking attendance! Sincere thanks again to Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts — their staff, their students and Lamar Farr, their new president — for being such welcoming and gracious hosts of our meetings. The “Sweet to Savory” Pavoni Mold demonstration chefs also need another round of applause. Thank you Chef Andreas Proisl CEPC, Chef Steven Rujak, and Chef Raffy Pambuan. Lastly, our sincere appreciation to Brian Battin with The Culinary Source for partnering with our chapter.
New Members – The meeting also included a special New Member Induction Ceremony. Please help congratulate the following new members to our chapter:
Kathleen Vossenberg M.Ed., CCE, CCC
Daniel A. Cruz
Suvian A. Getten
Tyrone Carter C.F.P.M.
Cybel Jazmin MacRae
And a very special thanks and welcome to our new Silver Sponsor/Associate Member, Andy Hoffman with Swiss Chalet Fine Foods.
Nominations – It’s “award season” at the ACF Central Florida Chapter! Time to nominate your fellow chefs who you think need to be recognized for their outstanding work, high culinary standards, and dedication to the ACF and our chapter. Please take the time to review the guidelines for the Chef of the Year and the Award of Culinary Excellence. (Note: Nominations are due by November 3rd.) Nominate a Chef Today!
November meeting – The November 3rd chapter meeting will be a special “field trip” event to the Publix Dairy Plant in Lakeland, Florida. Complimentary bus transportation will be provided with RSVP only. Look for complete details in the next email newsletter.
Upcoming events – Also coming soon to the chapter’s Events Calendar online will be information on the annual December events: the Give Kids the World volunteer event and the Chapter Christmas Party.
Thanks again and see you at the next meeting!
