Hello Chefs!

Summer break is coming to a close but there is still so much to look forward to. Lots of important details in this newsletter edition. Please share it, save it, or print it out. But most important…save the dates!

August 9th – Taste of the Nation

August 23rd – O-Town MacDown:  The ACF Central Florida Chapter has generously paid for five entries into this culinary event fundraiser for Give Kids the World. Four competitors/team slots have been claimed, but we have one slot left. So if you have a great mac-n-cheese recipe…if you would like to compete in this event…please email Lynda Alfano about this last slot. Email her at marketingchefs@acfcfc.com – first to email gets the slot.

Sept 7-9th – FRLA Show: Due to the timing of the FRLA Show, there will be no September General Meeting. Instead, please get involved with ACF Culinary Arts Competition that we host at the FRLA Show. Here are three ways you can get involved:

  1. Compete – a few spots are left, please contact show chairperson Steve Jayson ASAP at 407.363.8496
  2. Volunteer – volunteers are essential to the success of the competition, please contact Dawn Viola at dawn@dawnviola.com to get your name on the volunteer list
  3. Attend the show – FREE TICKETS! Yes, ACF members receive free admission!  Register at www.flrestaurantandlodgingshow.com and be sure to use Discount Code: ACF to register at no charge.

October 6th – Chapter General Meeting: The first monthly chapter meeting of the fall season is tentatively being planned at Le Cordon Bleu, but more details will be announced soon.
Have a great weekend. Don’t forget to save all of these dates and join in on the fun!

Sincerely,

Lynda Gail Alfano
