I would like to encourage all members to keep up-to-date with all events this year, and if you haven’t been to a chapter event in a while this year would be a great time to start.

The Calendar on our web site will keep you informed on the upcoming events, allowing you to make plans to attend and participate in ACF/CFC events.

Each time we engage in our daily act as chefs and Culinary professionals, I ask you to look around you and find that young energetic budding cook/student that wants to become a chef but needs the guidance and leadership required to chart their way through the culinary industry. As a member of the longest running Professional Chef association in America and also the World Association of Chef Society (the world’s largest chef society), it’s our responsibility to to lift up and encourage the future of our industry.

This month is our Southeast Regional Conference in Charleston, South Carolina. It will have education seminars and hands-on demonstrations that will focus on strengthening skills, inspiring careers and building a legacy for professional chefs through sustainability. I encourage all that can go to do so and come back to your locations renewed and ready to pass on the knowledge and passion acquired while attending.

We are honored to have some of our own chapter members up for awards and recognition at the regional conference and wish them all the best of luck.
