ACF Central Florida Chapter was awarded the 2011 Southeast Region Chapter of the Year. What an accomplishment!!! This award would not have been possible if it weren’t for you, the dedicated members of this fine organization for all your support and participation. This shows the strength we have as a Chapter when we work together for a purpose we believe in. Next step… National Chapter of the Year! We’ll find out in July at the National convention in Dallas. Let’s keep the momentum going!
I would like to give a warm welcome to Ibis Joan Lopez and Benton Dean Vories, our newest members of the Chapter.
I am in a process of looking for candidates to be featured in the “Member Spotlight” section of our website. Please e-mail your resume if you are interested. If you love to write, you can submit an article that is food related and we will post it on the website. Examples include cooking techniques & methods, travel experience to a foreign country, food finds, a favorite recipe, etc. Please submit resume and articles to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our next meeting on March 7th will be at Le Cordon Bleu in the Technique Restaurant dining room. Chefs Joel and Mary Schaefer, President of Allergy Chefs Inc. will enlighten us on “Allergies and Special Diets” with an emphasis on gluten free, the fastest growing allergy in the nation. Jenny Schenk, Broker/Owner of Florida Sunshine Brokers, LLC will display some of her baking and pastry products.
